Electromechanical Project Engineer

Function

You join a human-sized company of 25 people and report directly to the Design & Engineering Manager. As a Project Engineer, you coordinate various external projects, ensuring both customer satisfaction and compliance with Carrier requirements in terms of quality, costs and deadlines. The solutions offered are tailor-made.

  • You apply your skills in mechanical engineering to design equipment for the recycling or production of new energies, the treatment of glass cullet, plastics and other compounds, the drying and cooling of minerals and metals, agri-food products or chemicals, etc.
  • Thanks to advanced training, which will be given to you when you take up your position, you will master the applications of the product range (dryers, conveyors, fluidized beds, coolers, spirals, etc.) and are the guarantor of the technical feasibility of the projects.
  • You work in close collaboration with the sales team in order to produce offers that are in line with the technical requirements and specificities of the customer.
  • You carry out laboratory tests to confirm and validate your recommendations. You are responsible for the execution of projects from A to Z, which includes managing costs, planning and resources until the installation phase.
  • You maintain regular customer contacts on the technical side and are ready to occasionally travel on site to estimate the project implementation constraints.
  • You initiate numerous internal contacts with the design office, the sales team, finance, production, customer service and marketing.
  • You are on the front line for all contacts with suppliers and integrators and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • You proactively deal with possible financial, technical and production unforeseen events, and you propose suitable alternatives.
  • Depending on the projects, you assist and participate in on-site installation. You rigorously provide documentation, whether for the client or internally, so that archiving is optimal.

Profile

  • You have a civil or industrial engineering degree with a mechanical orientation, or you have equivalent experience.
  • You can benefit from significant experience of at least 3 years in project management in an industrial environment.
  • You are passionate about mechanics and managing technical projects is part of your DNA.
  • You are familiar with MS Office, Autocad, Mathcad or similar tools.
  • You are bilingual French-English, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of any other language is a plus.
  • You promote internal communication and have ease in exchanging with external partners.
  • You like to bring new ideas, are solution-oriented and find satisfaction in offering the best tailor-made solutions for your clients. You demonstrate rigor and perseverance.
  • You keep an eye on the progress of projects and ensure rigorous monitoring of the various indicators.
  • You are prepared to travel mainly in Europe 5 times a year on average (maximum 1 week).
