Function
By joining the design office, you are responsible for producing overall plans and details that will be used in the manufacture of machines. These plans are mechanical-welded, boilermaking, mechanical, air ducts, etc. Your responsibilities are as follows:
- You produce rigorous overall and detailed plans which will be used to manufacture the machines.
- You create your plans according to the client’s requirements and following the technical information received from the design engineer.
- You modify existing designs when necessary.
- You establish the nomenclatures of all the parts making up the machines.
- You constantly monitor the feasibility of the assemblies you design.
- You interact regularly with project engineers and design engineers, and you visit the manufacturing workshops once or twice a month.
Profile
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in mechanics, electromechanics, industrial design, etc.
- More than the diploma, it is your experience and your skills that will make the difference.
- You have at least 2 years of successful experience in a similar role.
- You have experience using 3D software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
- You are able to read plans on Autocad.
- You have a good command of the Office suite.
- You have good general technical knowledge (mechanics, welding, sheet metal work, etc.).
- You are capable of producing precise plans while strictly respecting the client’s own standards and the specifications imposed by the client. • Being able to do (simple) calculations is an advantage.
- Organized and autonomous, you are also recognized for your flexibility and your sense of teamwork.
- You live a reasonable distance from Nivelles.
- You are fluent in French.
